Lanzarote, famously known as Conejera, claims to have at least one hundred volcanoes. It is one of the largest Canary Islands and the furthest east of the chain. Protected by the Atlantic Ocean, with scenic sandy beaches, it is the best place to travel to cheaply all year round

Timanfaya National Park, the home of the Montanas del Fuego (Mountains of Fire) is also positioned on Lanzarote. Admission into the park by visitors is strictly regulated. There are one or two footpaths, and a popular short camel trip.

Jameos del Agua, a area that houses the Agricola Museum, a restaurant, a series of caves identified as the Cueva de los Verdes, and the lookout at Mirador del Rio are cheap places to go to. There?s a concert cave close to the end of Jameos Grande. This hall has excellent natural acoustics and offers ballet performances.

Hotels in Lanzarote you may find are traditional-looking rather than the modern type found in another place, but this all makes apparent the attractiveness of this Island . You may be able to find cheap accommodation in most of the hotels and low-season bargains are worth looking into as you can grab a great bargain
